Do you think there is a certain irony in suing a city for baning a sign that says bind the government to its constitution, using an amendment to the federal constitution that is supposed to bind the central government? Are you not asking the central government to slip it's bonds and pretend that it has the power to apply restrictions meant for it to cities? In the name of freedom of speech you undoing the very thing that Jefferson argued against. This is granting legitimacy to illegitimacy. You are using the Mafia to kill a cockroach. Does the Constitution of Iowa have a provision restricting its cities from infringing on free speech?
